The Specialization aims to provide a solid background in corporate finance to executives navigating in a rapidly changing financial environment. It specifically focuses on the key financial decisions firms and executives have to make throughout their lives, within the domains of entrepreneurship finance, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, hedging, and more.

About the Specialization:
This Specialization, split between the HEC Paris campus in Jouy-en-Josas and London, is for executives who would like acquire a better understanding of the mechanisms in the key financial decisions they will have to make throughout the life of their firm. Having already taken courses in financial accounting and corporate finance is a pre-requisite, though the Specialization does not require professional experience in finance.
Among other things, executives will learn how to value private firms, how to structure and value mergers, acquisitions and leveraged buyouts, how to hedge financial and non-financial risks, and how private equity funds and asset managers make investment decisions.

- How to deal with the valuation of public and private companies.
- How to strategically consider key corporate transactions (M&As, LBOs, IPOs, SEOs, etc.) and how to make value-enhancing decisions.
- How to assess and to hedge macroeconomic and financial risks.
- How asset managers assess trade-offs between risk and returns to build investment strategies.
- Networking opportunities with selected market participants and alumni.
